NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Monday 15 February 1915

Jersey Sailor Dies at Haslar Hospital. We regret to hear of the death of a lad named Henry Tite, son of Mr Tite of Pier Road, which took place at Haslar Naval Hospital on Saturday last. The deceased, who was 17, joined the Royal Navy about 3 weeks ago and contracted a severe cold which developed in pneumonia from which he did not recover. Educated at the Jersey Home For Boys he was later in the employ of Dr O'Connor. He was very highly esteemed by those who knew him. We might add that this is the second blow that the family have received in a comparatively short space of time, the eldest son, who was in the employ of Mr Orviss, having died under tragic circumstances a few weeks ago. We offer our sincere condolences to the bereaved family.
