Roll of Honour. Some months ago we stated that Mr A Trachy of 52 St Saviours Road had received news that his son, Private George Francis Trachy of the Canadian Grenadier Guards, had been reported missing since 15 August 1917. More favourable news was hoped for but as the months rolled by and nothing further was heard the relatives began to expect the worst, and their fears have unfortunately been confirmed by an official notification which states that the soldier is presumed to have made the supreme sacrifice on the date mentioned above. The late gallant volunteer was 31 and was highly respected in the Island, he was formerly employed by Mr E Le Quesne, the plumber, and left for Canada some 13 years ago and was amongst the first volunteers for the Canadian Grenadier Guards. He leaves a widow to whom, with the other relatives here, we tender our heartfelt condolences.
