NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Wednesday 16 May 1917

Roll of Honour. Another Jerseyman, Bombardier Frederick George Warren, has made the supreme sacrifice. The deceased had been in India for some 5 years but on the declaration of war he was called up and had been in France practically ever since, with the exception of a short holiday which he spent here some 18 months ago. On 26 April somewhere in France he was wounded and died as a result. The deceased was in his 27th year. To his parents and family who reside at 66 St Saviours Road we tender our sincere condolences.
