Born on 20/01/1893, Castel, Guernsey. Son of Jean Baptiste Zoel Agnès (French subject from Guadeloupe) and Louise Victoria Le Cras of Castel. In 1911 he was a gardener working in vineries. Husband of Sophie Robinson (married 01/06/1914, St Peter Port, Guernsey).

Brother of Gunner Adrien Agnès, Gunner Eugene Agnès, Private Francis Agnès, Sergeant Octave Agnès, Private Theodore Agnès, Lance Corporal Wilfred Agnès, who also served. Stationed in Alderney in 1918. Stayed in the Army after the War and was stationed in Hong Kong in 1921. Married Violet May Baker on 20/01/1951.

He died on 26/07/1958
