Eldest son of John and Annie Olivry, of Les Houguettes, St. John's, Jersey. One of two brothers who both fell.

Died of pneumonia, aged 24 years.

NEWS ITEM in Jersey Evening Post of Friday 1 November 1918

Death of a Jersey Soldier. Mr & Mrs Olivry of Les Hougettes, St Johns have received news that their eldest son, Bombardier J A Olivry, died of pneumonia on 28 October at No 2 General Hospital in France. The deceased soldier had seen 4 years service with the British Army and to the bereaved parents, his fiancee and to all members of the family we tender our respectful sympathy.
